To enable system restore tab

Postby Shrinivas » Tue May 06, 2008 9:14 pm

Some times when we click on "System Restore" it gives error message as "System Restore Cannot Run Until You Restart the Computer".
Also the TAB of system restore is disabled when we go in "Properties" of "My Computer".
To enable the tab option,

Please copy the following contents in notepad file and then rename it as .reg file(Create registry file from this content.)

eg:- Copy contents in notepad file say "sysrestore.txt" file to notepad & rename it as "sysrestore.reg""
Then run this file & add these entries in registry.
(Before adding these entries please DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE BACKUP OF YOUR REGISTRY.)

Hello Shrinivas,

we just applied it to a German XP PRO and had no problems - System Restore is running again.

Thank you.
