web & email filter of escan corporate edition

We have disabled web & email filter in escan corporate edition client as it was causing a specific issue for the time being.
Will my outbound smtp mails be scanned by escan or no..?

If you disable email/Web Scanning your outgoing as well as incoming emails will not be scanned.

But will the virus in mails be detected by antivirus or no..?I understand that the dsibaling filter means that it would disable the mwl layer.So some extra things would not become applicable..
Am I correct..?

Outbound mails are not scanned but if you are sending any attachment then it will scanned by real time monitor because you will attach the file from the local hard drive.
