My pendrive was affected by the USB 2.0 drive folder virus, i managed to delete it and tried to format my drive after deleting. Anytime i try to format, it tells me "Disk is Write Protected" and therefore doesn't format, how do i format this drive, please help.

Thank you,

Hello,

With reference to your query, could you let us know the procedure that you followed inorder to delete the folder virus as mentioned.
In case the USB shows "Disk is Write Protected" message, it would not have allowed you to remove the infection as well.
Also please note that such cases are mostly casued due to a faulty hardware.Kindly contact the vendor of the USB drive for the same.
With Regards,
Vineeth K.
