eScan dont display the latest download date

Postby cmora » Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:27 pm

Hi.

In the latest espatch1 versions, im detecting a little bug, related with the latest update info. I run the download too many times, and the date displayed is the same. I check the eupdate.ini, and the line "LastSuccessfulDownload" show the date correctly; but the line "LastUpdate" dont change the info (by example, continue displaying 21 Feb 2008 in the new installation).

I delete the daily*.avc and download the update again, but the problem continue.

The partial solution, provided by the eScan chat support (msn), is edit manually that line. But the problem continue in the next updates.

Any Sugestion?

Thanks in advance

I kindly request you to run chkdsk /f /r in XP or Win2000 or in case of win98 please run scandisk
Please rename ftptemp folder to ftptemp1, then try to take fresh update.
find path of ftptemp folder <root drive>:\Program files\escan\ ftptemp folder
This should solve your problem.

Hi.

The problem continue with all the stations when the latest espatch1 was executed.

In the console i see inconsistences too. The Column related with the last update info, in the window "get status of escan installation" cant show the correct date. Just display "UNKNOWN".

Can i do another process?

thanks in advance

Please send us the debug file from your system:
Then follow these procedure to send debug file

1.Right click on e icon.
2.Then click on "Send debug information".
3.Then under "Mail from" type your email id
4.Under "Mail To" type support@mwti.net
5.Under "Smtp Server" type 127.0.0.1
6.Under "Smtp Port" type 25
7.Then click on OK button
8.This will generate a debuges.zip in <root drive>\program files\escan\debug folder
9.Attach that file in email and send it to support@mwti.net.
