How to install multiple Windows updates or hotfixes through

Hello All,

Do below Steps to deploy critical Patches through console.
1) Right click on eserv icon on taskbar & Click on "Open eServ Management Console"
2) Go to "Services" & check whether view type is Normal or Network, if it shows to
Select "Network View", Select "Network View".
3) On Left panel of Windows you will find "Microsoft Windows Network" --> Select your Domain or Workgroup there,
for e.g if you Domain is "eScan" double Click on it it will show you List of Computer's in that Domain or Group.
4) Select All the Computer's in that Domain or Group->After Selecting all Computer's Right Click &
Click on "Get Status of eScan Installation".
5) A new window will open & it will start checking status of eScan.
(Note: For eg., if You want to Deploy WindowsXP-KB896688-x86-ENU.exe or other software on all pc then "Select All”, otherwise Select the Host Manually on which you want to deploy)
6) After Selecting all host Right Click on selected Host-->
then Click on "Remote Install/Uninstall/Upgrade Software"-->then click on "Install Other Software"
--> then Click on "Browse" Button->then Select the Location where WindowsXP-KB896688-x86-ENU.exeis stored
-->then Select "File to Execute" as for eg., window~1.exe or window.~2.exe
-->In the command line parameters text box enter "/Z /M" give command without quote.
-->then click on "Start" Button.

Note: After depolying multiple Windows updates or Microsoft hotfixes you need to restart client systems to apply critical patches.


Switch Description
/Z switch to install the patches & instruct the installer not to restart after the installation.
/M switch (for Quiet mode) if you do not want prompts or messages to appear during the installation or unattended installtion.
/f Forces other programs to close at shutdown.
