How to set authentication to send EMC reports

Q : If the email server requires authentication, then report email is not sent. We need to rectify this as the mail server at xxxx requires authentication.

We have incorporated this feature, to implement this feature you need to follow the below settings:

1. Open Mailscan.ini from c:\progra~1\escan folder
2. Under [General] section
add following two lines
username=
password=
You have to specify the username and password in front of this value, which needs to be used for authentication.
3. Then search for below entry
SendHELO=
Here the value should be set to 1.
Then save the file and open eScan Management Console and click on Reports menu, and click on "Mail Reports Now" or press CTRL+ R on keyboard.
