Postby patel.mahesh » Tue Jul 12, 2011 2:59 pm

Dear Sir,

We are using eScan Corporate V10. I found that on client side. when normal user is logged in and start MWAVSCAN it will gives scan only option ticked and locked so users can't change it. and same PC when I login as administrator and start mwavsacn then it give scan and clean option and tick is removed from scan only. Is it possible to normal can also do scan and clean using mwavscan.

Thanks.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us at eScan.

With reference to your query, please note that when a system is logged in Limited user mode (without administrative rights) , the access to certain registry values and system folders are not available due to windows restrictions in the limited user mode.Hence when a manual scan is started, the "Scan Only" option is by default ticked.
Inorder to scan the system completely, the scanner needs to have administrative rights.
For this, you need to deploy a policy of Schedule scan from the eScan management console , enabling a scan to be carried out in background at a scheduled time. When this schedule runs on a system, the scan takes place with administrative rights and has the necessary privileges to clean the system.

In case you have any more queries about the same, please contact our technical support representative through Live online chat
