Hello Sir,
In EMC, we can get client information at the TAB "Client Live Updater".
Some users have question about this function.
1. How much bandwidth does the function use? for example, 50 clients.
2. Could this function be disabled? If it could, How to do it?
3. How many days would this function loged? Does eScan have other option to export the logs?

Thank you for your kindly answer...

Hi Sidney,

As the forums was under up-gradation,we were unable to reply you.
Please find my replies below the questions you posted.

1. How much bandwidth does the function use? for example, 50 clients.
==>
As the eScan Client live updater will not continuously receive the events from the clients,it can not be stated.
It will log the certain events which eScan client will send to server,which depends upon frequency of that event happening on the client.
And this will consume very little bandwidth.

E.g. eScan client sends logs to eScan server whenever certain event occurs. If 50 clients sends one log at a time it will be shown 50 times on the console.
Hence it would not be count as bandwidth since it is not a continuous process.

2. Could this function be disabled? If it could, How to do it?
==>
In eserv.ini,in general section,you will need to ADD value as
enableescanliveupdator=1
If you make it 0 and restart the machine for once,then eScan client live updator will not be present anymore in eScan Management Console.

3. How many days would this function loged? Does eScan have other option to export the logs?
==>
By default the eScan Client Live updater logs will be stored from installation in below directory,
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MicroWorld\ESERV\ in file called "ConEvent.Mdb"
You can open the logs with Microsoft Access.
And as of now,escan do not have any option to Export these logs,we will keep this in wishlist and will let you know.
