I've tried to use the hotfix commandline
/DisableNetworkScan
while deploying the hotfix via the EMC but it does not work. Upon checking the registry, the DisableNetworkScan value is still 0 instead of 1.
I use this commandline together with the silentmode /s command. The silentmode works but I found that it forces the computer the reboot without any warning. THis happens with my server too, forcing it to do an emergency shutdown without first closing the applications. Upon reboot I will get the unknown shutdown event in the event viewer.

I've been told that the eScan slow down is caused by the network scanning, which is why I'm disabling it. Too bad it does not work remotely and I have to do it manual from PC to PC.

Hi Jason,
You can download the intermediate hotfix to run the /DisableNetworkScan command line parameter from
here
This will solve the problem.
And in the Next Released hotfix it will be available again.
