Apparant XPSP3 issue - network, taskbar etc. vanishing
Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 3:57 pmThe issues which few customers have reported apparently seems to be related to an IE7 Hotfix # KB947864 installed over XPSP3. Uninstalling the above hotfix, the machine came back to normal state.
Still, after the uninstallation, network properties were not visible. This was because all the services were disabled on the said machine. To fix this, we had to import the HKLMSY.REG from the last backed up REGBK*.ZIP file.
