on eScan client show update server as ( Unknown Host )
Posted: Fri Jan 25, 2008 2:03 pmeScan server sends a UDP broadcast to all the clients. And whoever is listening to this request will get the server ip address automatically. But If your subnet is connected with ROUTER then the Broadcast will not travel to different subnet. Because ROUTER does not route broadcast messages.
Solution : You need to allow eScan UDP broadcast in router configuration.
